“Emotional connection” refers to employee feelings towards their organization. People differ in what motivates them to deliver their best performance in an organization and what encourages them to feel connected.

We live in a rapidly changing world where trends change in the blink of an eye. A practice that works perfectly today might not be suitable tomorrow. The same holds true for employee engagement.

Trends in employee engagement drastically vary with the new generation entering the workforce. Future-oriented managers and company leaders must stay updated on these engagement tactics.

The five most promising employee engagement trends of 2023 are as follows.

  • Prioritizing people culture- The most essential element to an organization’s success is the well-being of its workforce. The current environment requires the business to create a harmonious and employee-focused culture, commonly known as a people-oriented culture. It can be defined as a culture that is welcoming and where the organization prioritizes and values the needs of its employees. Also, a culture of respect and care is developed among them, lowering the likelihood that they will leave the company in search of a better opportunity.
  • Work-life balance is a must- Companies all across the world have chosen a remote working culture due to unforeseen constraints and lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over time, it has been seen that facilitating organizational cultures that support remote or hybrid working and flexible work schedules helps to boost employee productivity. Therefore, providing such flexibility will enhance employee engagement and work-life balance. Workers that have a better work-life balance will be more invested in their jobs, their coworkers, their clients, and the business.
  • Workplace Wellness- Sound health and wellness initiatives improve employees’ work-life balance and productivity outcomes. Team building exercises, physical activity, flexible working schedules, meditation app subscriptions, and other ideas for better wellness are just a few examples of workplace wellness.
  • Goal tracking system– Setting goals for employees is vital. Goal setting effectively boosts employee engagement by developing a sense of pride in each individual’s achievements. To be successful on their own, employees must have a clear understanding of their job and the manager’s expectations for particular job responsibilities. It also helps in employee engagement and develops a sense of satisfaction and pride in each individual’s achievements. A clear understanding of job roles and manager-employee expectations is essential for proper functioning of departments. It helps the HR manager to monitor and assess each employee’s activities and assessment criteria.
  • Technology-Driven workgroups- A virtual community of coworkers created for work-related discussions and collaboration is essentially what an employee workgroup is. These make it possible for your staff to participate in, stay in sync with, and share information on budgets, deadlines, papers, and other essentials of any project.

Many HR platforms offer business cloud services that help set up workgroups to store and share information with the staff and help in better communication. Also, it helps the workers to interact with colleagues in other respective departments.

Blink is one of the best employee engagement software, which provides a variety of benefits all in one place.

Conclusion

Employee satisfaction will be successfully maintained by organizations that can keep up with the most recent trends in employee engagement and maintain consistency over the course of the employee’s life cycle. And to do this, investing in the appropriate technology and tools can be quite beneficial. Blink can be helpful if you need a tool to increase employee engagement in your business.
