Full-Service/Traditional Funeral

Usually, traditional funerals are religious, so it’s not uncommon to see a pastor, priest, or religious leader say a few words. The casket can be either open or closed.

Celebration of Life

Funerals are known as somber affairs. But they don’t always have to be.

A celebration of life allows attendees to remember the deceased fondly and share cheerful memories of them. These can be religious or secular, and either formal or informal. In many cases, celebrations of life are held in entertainment venues or restaurants.

Often, people like to combine celebrations of life with official funeral ceremonies. So these act as a type of reception.
