2. Stay Away From Stains

Some foods, drinks, and other products can majorly stain your teeth. Tobacco products, for example, are a huge no-no when it comes to keeping up white and healthy teeth.

Some of the foods and beverages that can cause stains include: coffee, red wine, soy sauce, curry, dark sodas, certain types of sauces, and many others. Of course, you may not be able to avoid drinking all of these beverages entirely.

To lessen the damage, use a reusable straw to avoid stains while staying environmentally friendly.

You can also replace some of the less healthy dietary options with options that won’t stain your teeth. For example, switch out dark sodas for tap water. These options won’t just benefit your smile — they can also help you improve your health overall!

If you have existing stains, you can try a home whitening treatment. There are products available, or you can look into natural whitening options.

3. Brush and Floss Your Teeth

No matter how lazy you get, it’s important to keep brushing and flossing your teeth regularly. Brush your teeth thoroughly at least two times a day.

And, you should also make sure that you’re brushing effectively. ake sure that you don’t brush your teeth too vigorously, which can cause bleeding and enamel damage.

You should also make sure that you’re brushing your tongue as well, to avoid disease.

Make sure you’re brushing every one of your teeth and flossing between every single one of your teeth.

4. Change Your Products

Using the right mouthwash and the right toothpaste can completely revamp your smile. Make sure that you’re using fluoride toothpaste for the best possible results. Replace your toothpaste every few months in order to avoid poor hygiene practices.

If you aren’t seeing the results you want with the toothpaste you currently use, you should switch to another brand. Your dentist may have recommendations, or you can check out reviews online.
