1) What is Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a treatment used for permanent hair reduction and can be used on all skin types. The laser light passes through the skin and targets melanin, which is responsible for hair colour, with precise heat that destroys cells in your follicles—with little or no discomfort. Laser hair removal doesn’t just get rid of unwanted body hair; it’s also effective on facial hair such as chin and upper lip fuzz. But here’s what you need to know: Not all lasers are created equal, so it’s important to understand how laser works, what type of laser you need for your body type, and how long sessions last before deciding if the laser is right for you.

2) How Does It Work

Laser hair removal is an innovative technique that utilizes light wavelengths to zap follicles, destroying any potential for new hair growth. That doesn’t mean you have to live with facial or body hair that makes you self-conscious—we’re talking about completely getting rid of unwanted fuzz. How does it work? Read on! The first thing you need to know is what wavelengths are used in laser hair removal, because there are different kinds of lasers used by different clinics.

3) Who Can Use It

The word permanent is used a lot in regards to laser hair removal, but that doesn’t mean it will last forever. While some people can go years without needing another treatment, others might find they need repeat treatments every few months or years.

That said, if you shave often and/or use depilatory creams (which contain harsh chemicals that eat away at hair follicles), you may never stop seeing your practitioner. Bottom line: Laser hair removal isn’t permanent…but it lasts much longer than shaving or using products like Nair or Veet. You should plan on having at least two or three sessions spaced about six weeks apart.

4) How Long Will It Last

The biggest question about laser hair removal is how long it will last. Unfortunately, there isn’t a straightforward answer because no two skin types are alike. Thick or coarse hair might take up to eight sessions, while fine or light-coloured hair may require just one or two sessions to be permanently removed.

But if you can’t afford costly laser treatments over time, waxing and shaving are also effective methods of getting rid of unwanted body hair—the caveat being that you have to do it regularly. Whether your preferred method is laser treatment, waxing, or shaving—as long as you don’t let your body hair grow back in between sessions—you should be able to get rid of your unibrow in six months.

5) Can I Touch My Skin After Treatment

Laser hair removal is a great way to get rid of unwanted hair. It’s very popular and for good reason: it works! As long as you do your research and go to a qualified doctor, you’ll be in good hands and will love your results. Having said that, laser hair removal is not like getting a haircut: there are some things you need to know before deciding whether or not it’s right for you. Let’s take a look at them now.

6) Why do I need laser hair removal?

If you’re plagued by unwanted hair, it can make you feel self-conscious about your appearance. Laser hair removal provides a permanent solution for removing specific areas of body hair. Over time, laser technology has improved dramatically—and not only are treatments less painful than ever before, they’re also more effective. But laser hair removal is definitely not for everyone—there are some things that you should know before making your decision. Here’s what you need to know before signing up for your first treatment.
