With the festive season well and truly on its way, we thought it’d be a great time to think about how you could bring the essence of Christmas into your caravan.
Where ever you take your holidays Cornwall, Devon or even up north, we want you to have the very best Christmas experience possible, whilst taking a break from the mundane nine to five.
So, without further ado, let’s take a look at five things you could add to your caravan to help bring the magic of Christmas inside.
Christmas Tree
Adding a Christmas tree is the most obvious way to bring the festive season inside!
This doesn’t have to be a big tree that takes up all the floor space, as there are now artificial trees that are slimline or mini versions of the traditional six-foot tree.
Whether you decide to house a big, slimline or mini tree within your caravan, to bring extra festive cheer, why not add a few fairy lights and baubles to the tree too? With a wide variety of lights and tree decorations available, you’ll be able to personalise the branches to suit your theme, aesthetic and of course, your personality.
If this wasn’t enough, if you have space outside on a decked area or by your outside steps, you could place a real Christmas tree. This can be within a pot, or outside, to add further Christmas cheer to your caravan entrance. This too could be decorated with decorations, suitable for the outdoors, such as lights.
Lights
Lights placed within windows, throughout your home or even outside, help to bring an extra Christmassy cheer to all that see them.
With technical advancements, there are so many varieties to choose from, including some that you can control with your phone, to help create patterns or an array of multiple colours. With anything, check that these lights are suitable for where you wish to place them – if you wish to place lights outside, for example, make sure they’re outdoor-compatible lights.
If fairy and rope lights aren’t your things, how about a light-up Santa or reindeer? There’s so much on the market for you to choose from.
Soft furnishings
How about adding a Christmassy twist to your soft furnishings?
Adding scatter cushions on your seating within the communal area helps to add subtle touches of Christmas to your caravan.
Soft blankets and throws with festive patterns are also a great way to introduce subtle hints of Christmas to your environment, whilst also providing something cosy for you and your loved ones to wrap up in – maybe whilst watching your favourite Christmas films together!
Changing your duvet cover for a festive one is also a great way to add pops of festive cheer around your caravan.
Christmas Reef
Christmas reefs are available in an array of colours, shapes and textures – you could even create your very own in a reef.
Christmas reefs can be hung on your front door, or even your window, to bring the yuletide feeling to all who enter your caravan.
Will you be making your own this Christmas?
Festive bakes
Is there anything better than cooking up a festive storm in your kitchen? Or the smell that comes with it?
Whether you go all out and build a gingerbread house from scratch, make homemade mince pies or a yule log, or opt for something more savoury like Christmas sausage rolls, cooking some festive treats helps bring the Christmassy feeling to your caravan and fill it with all the smells this time of year brings.
