Air conditioning systems come in various shapes and sizes, and they depend on two crucial fronts: purpose and customer satisfaction. 85% of all US properties have central air conditioning systems. This includes homes, offices, and industrial properties such as warehouses and large-scale pantries. It is imperative that you narrow down on the best air conditioning service for your desired space. For your assistance, we have devised a series of air conditioners and their uses. The following paragraphs contain the ten popular types of central heating and air conditioning in Atlanta.

  • Constant Air Volume

Single Split System

This unit permits the individual control of air conditioning system. It is generally small in size and covers a smaller area in terms of cooling, which is why it is perfect for offices, restaurants, and cafes. We typically find these AC units in commercial buildings because they provide optimum temperature in an enclosed space of around 500- 700 square feet. Since they are cheaper to install, they are ideal for small spaces. Each unit has an individual operating system. Hence, the other units are not vulnerable to disruption if one breaks down. Its disadvantage is that it occupies a greater space overall since it has an outdoor vent system for each unit.

Multi-Split System for Atlanta Heating and Air Conditioning

In larger offices, multi-split ACs are used. They connect smaller units with one external unit to decrease the outdoor footprint. Less external units are associated with preserved aesthetics of the buildings. They require pipework and proper installation of heat pumps. These features allow the air conditioner to work at a higher efficiency. With multi-split units, you don’t have to worry about duct installation and analysis. A commercial air conditioning service provider is responsible to install this unit. The only disadvantage of this unit is its cost and the amount of pipeline you will have to get installed.

Variable Refrigerant Flow and Variable Refrigerant Volume

VRF and VRV contain a single evaporator backed up by a large heating and cooling unit. These units are ideal for medium and giant office spaces. They are a one-time investment with a quick installation process. Since it is a large unit, it is expensive to install. If one of the evaporators stops working, the entire unit has to be repaired.

Variable Air Volume

VAV uses a fan as a central cooling element. Cold air or warm air comes through the fan and disperses within the facility to create the required temperature. It is ideal for buildings with greater ventilation loads. Even though it has lower operational costs, it is still costly to set up. To install this unit in a building in Atlanta, many heating and air conditioning companies are providing their services.

Constant Air Volume

CAV System has a compressor that operates in total capacity initially. It does so to achieve the required temperature in the building. It is ideal for warehouse facilities and commercial buildings. It can also be used in industrial-sized pantries and mega grocery stores, which require constant ventilation. Its downside is that it cannot affect or change humidity levels. CAV produces fixed air volume regardless of the requirements. This leads to higher electricity costs.
