Here are some of the beneficiaries of Fashion Nova Cares’ grants and donations:
Virginia State University
The institution received $25,000 to support its fashion merchandising and design program. The university appreciated the grant, noting that it would help future fashion designers, merchandisers, and entrepreneurs scale greater heights in their careers.
Norfolk University
The university was also a recipient of $25,000 to support its fashion and design program. The donation would go a long way in helping students attain their goals and become exceptional fashion designers.
North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University
The institution received $25,000 in support of its fashion merchandising and design program. The area coordinator of the program and associate professor, Beth Newcomb, acknowledged that the funds would have a significant impact on the students.
Teniola ‘Tia’ Adeola
The talented fashion designer was among the preselected independent designers who received donations from Fashion Nova through the “Woman on Top” initiative. Teniola, the founder and designer of ‘Tia Adeola’ fashion brand, was awarded for her outstanding performance in luxury fashion.
The designer began her journey in fashion while still a college student, and now owns a label that has garnered a massive following. The fashion brand boasts of dressing celebrities, including Gigi Hadid and SZA.
Maxie J
Another female fashion designer, Maxie J. received $25,000 from Fashion Nova’s “Women on Top” initiative. The reputable designer is the founder of Ellaé Lisqués, a fast-rising fashion label.
Maxie J, a former stylist has transcended all odds to become a renowned indie fashion designer. Her impeccable taste for fashion, originality, and creativity has propelled her to own one of the most sought-after fashion brands.
Timeekah Murphy
Fashion designer and founder of Alani Taylor fashion label, Timeekah Murphy, was also in the spotlight during the “Woman on Top” initiative. The designer received $25,000 for her exemplary performance in producing exquisite fashion pieces.
Timeekah has dressed icons, including Cardi B, Beyoncé, and Nick Cannon. She aspires to instill confidence, boost self-expression, and excel in style.
