Steps to Tighten Your Fingerboard Trucks & Wheels on a Tech Deck

Just read this article if you are trying to tighten up the fingerboard trucks and wheels on the tech deck. It will enlighten you with this knowledge.

Prepare

  • Take Out the Tiny, Yellow Tool from the Tech Deck – First of all, you need to have that tiny, yellow tool that comes along with the pro fingerboard deck. You can buy one for a dollar or ask a friend to lend you one if you don’t already have one.
  • Take Out the Tech Deck – After that, you need to take out the Tech Deck and prepare it for the custom fingerboard trucks and wheels. It primarily includes cleaning all the parts and checking them to prepare yourself to assemble them.

Tighten the Trucks

  • Tighten the Loose-Fitting Trucks – They are loose if you can easily wobble the premium fingerboard truck. While attaching the fingerboarding trucks to the tech deck, you must ensure that you have tightened the loose-fitting trucks correctly. Otherwise, you may face an accident while you are using it.
  • While Tightening – You can tighten the bolt of your fingerboard trucks using a screwdriver. Insert the Screwdriver into the Truck’s Bolt. Just remember that you need to twist the Screwdriver in a clockwise direction. Twisting it in the anti-clock direction will further make it looser.
  • Twist the Screwdriver till the Fingerboard Truck is Stiff – Remember that you need to twist the Screwdriver enough to make the fingerboard truck stiff. It will ensure that your fingerboard does not get loose or wobbly. There are two types of fingerboard trucks flooding the market – 32mm fingerboard trucks & 34mm fingerboard trucks.
  • Repeat this While attaching the 2nd Truck – Now, come time for the second truck. You need to tighten the truck’s bolt using a screwdriver and twist it until it gets stiff. You must also repeat the 4th and 5th steps for the second truck before landing on the fingerboard decks.

Tighten the Wheels

  • Tighten the Loose Wheels after Tightening the Trucks – After tightening the pro fingerboard trucks, you need to tighten the wheels in the form of the next step. Tight wheels are as crucial as tight trucks. Loose or wobbly wheels will prevent you from making perfect landings.
  • Insert the Screwdriver into the Wheels – If wheels move along the lines where their axles are attached, they are loose. So, you need to pick up a screwdriver and customize fingerboard wheels by tightening them. Otherwise, it may end up making imperfect landings. Even worse, it may also get broken in harsh landings.
  • Twist the Screwdriver Clockwise – You need to twist the Screwdriver in the clockwise direction enough to make the wheels stiff. Tip: Use a premium fingerboard deck for a better experience. It will prevent the wheels from being loose or wobbly.
  • Repeat with Other Wheels Until They Are Stiff – Now is the final step! You need to repeat the 7th, 8th, and 9th steps with the remaining wheels.

Tip: Ensure that all wheels are fixed tightly.

Bonus Tips to Tighten Your Fingerboard Trucks & Wheels on a Tech Deck
