Committing to a drastic and permanent change to your body is a lot. I’ve always been interested in having work done on my breasts, but I really wasn’t sure about traditional methods. My mom had one when I was a young teen and twenty years later one of them popped! I had no clue they didn’t last forever.
Not wanting to go through that, I thought I was out of luck in this area. Then I read about fat transfer breast augmentation. Not having an implant placed in my body seemed like a huge win. And moving fat from an undesired location to a desired one is just plain genius.
If you’ve been thinking about this procedure, check out these three points below that helped me decide.
Make these 3 Considerations Before Signing Up for Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation
Taking the time to ask yourself these questions and sit with yourself to find the answer is what I recommend doing. You are a beautiful person who has the right to do what’s in your heart.
1) How Do You Want Your Breasts to Look?
Are you wanting that sexy Jessica Rabbit look: full, large, and exaggerated? Well, I hate to disappoint you, but fat transfer breast augmentation is not the right procedure for you. You just can’t increase your natural breast size by several cups with this procedure.
Fat transfer provides a natural and full look. You usually gain about a half of a cup size. So, if you’re looking to give your breasts a plump up, this is a fantastic option. This procedure is also great for women who’ve had to have a lump removed. The fat can be deposited to fill the breast back to what it was.
2) Are You Okay with Having a Liposuction Procedure?
Fat transfer breast augmentation requires fat! You will need to have fat cells liposuctioned away from some area of your body. Don’t worry, the cells that come from thinner people with less fat concentrations actually do great with this type of augmentation. You will need to be under general anesthesia and go through the normal surgery protocols.
3) Recovery Time is Mandatory, Will You Be Able to Accommodate?
Since this procedure requires you to be under anesthesia you will need someone to take you to and from it. Thankfully, there’s a recovery time of only two to four days which is much shorter than traditional recovery.
The longest part of recovery for this fat transfer is not disturbing the new fat cells for two weeks. Your transferred cells need a chance to establish themselves with your breast cells.
You’ll Know in Your Heart What’s Right for You
Now I understand the heavy decision of deciding if fat transfer breast augmentation is your best route. I sat and meditated on these points and asked my heart what it is that I wanted. I’m glad I carefully examined the considerations above, and I hope these points have helped you in your journey.
