DU JAT(Delhi University Joint Admission Test) is an entrance examination for admission to the UG management programs. It is offered by the colleges that are accredited to Delhi University.

About DU-JAT

Exam structure
The DU JAT exam comprises 100 objective type questions. All of them have to be completed in two hours.
DU JAT exam consists of four sections that are mentioned below. Each of these sections has 25 questions. You will get three marks for every correct answer, whereas, for a wrong answer, there will be a deduction of one mark. As there is negative marking, a candidate has to be very sure of the answer before attempting it.

- General English
This section assesses the verbal ability and vocabulary, and reading comprehension of a candidate. Candidates should read newspapers daily and solve a maximum number of question papers. It is also important to refer to good grammar books to improve your grammatical skills.
- Quantitative Ability
Candidates need to have a sound knowledge about the class 11 and 12 syllabus. This section’s common topics are inferential and visual reasoning, quadrilaterals, pie charts, time and work, graphs, numbers, profit and loss, average, mathematical series, etc.
- Business and General Awareness:
Read the news on newspapers and television. Stay updated about the current happenings throughout the world. This section tests the awareness and knowledge of a candidate about Arts & Music, brand taglines, logos, significant international days, national prize winners of present and previous years, notable business entities, awards and honors, world history, and Indian history. Read the newspaper daily for six months continuously before the exam.
- Reasoning and Analytical Ability
This section comprises charts of tests and bar graphs that test the candidate’s analytical and reasoning ability. Candidates should use the best data interpretation books to prepare for this subject.
- Data interpretation and Data Analysis
Questions will be asked about tables, bar diagrams, line charts, components, bar diagrams, subdivided bar diagrams, multiple bar diagrams, pie charts, bar charts usage, etc.
