Giga Jar is the exciting new release from Push Gaming, the developers who brought you Jammin’ Jars and Jammin’ Jars 2. As with its predecessors, Giga Jar sticks with the disco and fruit theme, as well as the cascading grid format, but this time the focus is on the eponymous DJ spinning the tunes for the cube-shaped fruits on the dance floor.
With an RTP (return-to-player) percentage of 96.48% and medium volatility, Giga Jar offers greater stability and more regular payouts than either of the two games which came before, but with a lower overall prize ceiling. That being said, the maximum jackpot is still a cool 10,000x the original stake, so there’s plenty to play for. Let’s dig deeper.
Look and feel
Push Gaming has enjoyed considerable success with its dance and disco themed games and doesn’t try to change a winning recipe here. The backdrop to the game is an ice bar, while the Giga Jar DJ is visible to the left of the grid. The tiles themselves are various cube-shaped fruit, with watermelon being the biggest hitters (and which actually do exist in real life!), as well as numerical coin values for even bigger wins. The bright colors and attractive graphics are soundtracked by a retro disco beat which, although repetitive, never becomes tiresome.
The basics of the game
The grid itself follows a 7×7 layout and to win, players must achieve clusters of at least five matching tiles next to one another. When this happens, the tiles will combust and new ones cascade down to replace them. For every three cascades, a Wild Jar will join the board, which will not only enable easier wins, but also accrue ascending multipliers for each win. Once three Wild Jars are on the board and three more cascades have been achieved, the Giga Jar himself will make his entrance. Players can also up the ante by choosing for the first Wild Jar to appear instantaneously by increasing their bet ninefold.
Special features
The gameplay of Giga Jar is fast enough on its own to keep players engaged, but there are also several special features to spice things up further. These include:
- Snowball. This randomly activated feature will insert one or two giant symbols onto the board, which can be 2×2, 3×3 or 4×4 in size.
- Ice breaker. This randomly activated feature will remove all tiles of up to three different varieties at random, thus creating more space for new tiles and a higher likelihood of clusters.
- Giga Jar. The Giga Jar functions like a Wild Jar in that it increases the chance of wins and accrues ascending multipliers – but its multipliers increase much more sharply than Wild Jars. Beginning at 1x, it will jump to 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x and finally 50x with each new cascade.
The inclusion of these special features not only keeps things ticking along and ensures regular payouts, but also mean that players can achieve incredibly high returns on a single spin, too.
Where to play
Released on March 28th 2023, Giga Jar has proven to be an instant hit and can be found on a number of different platforms. However, one significant plus it has over the competition is its crypto compatibility. This means you can play Giga Jar at cryptocurrency casinos and take advantage of the numerous benefits that these sites bestow, such as faster and cheaper transaction times, greater security and privacy protocols, and more lucrative perks and promotions.
Now that you’re familiar with the concept of Giga Jar, there’s nothing left to be done except give it a go yourself!
